thank u it took a pipe onpower bar to get oil filter and sump plug undone as i recon they never been of machine couple of ram seels leaking so may have to sort them , tin worms called round but runs just like anew machine difrence is i can set to with a bag of spaners if i ever needto repair it Now...

Well Iv been doing this since Christmas so a little while Iv only just discovered this site :D It's not in bad condition underneath the body work makes it look worse! Oh yes plenty of worn parts particularly bushes, do you or anyone else on here know if there is anywhere to get parts from for these...

James I am guessing here that the union connectors should be pretty standard I would take the gauge out of the dashboard and look at the connector on the back you should have no issue getting one.

Hi James and welcome to CMN :wave: nice old JCB you have there :thumbup: I would simply measure the outside diameter of the oil pipe to the dashboard and get a small coil of it and cut it to length as required.

Hi Jeremy I have spoken to a mechanic friend of mine and he said that I should be getting either smoke or fuel fumes out of the exhaust, I am not getting anything but I do get fuel from the injectors when I have them outside of the engine, more worryingly is no firing even with the easy start. Ben that has not taken you very long to get her stripped down is the roller looking like it is in decent condition or are you finding plenty of worn parts?

Hi Andy seeing what you have posted my first guess would be that because the machine slipped into a trench at an awkward angle there may very well have been oil starvation causing some internal damage to the engine? Unless the engine was physically damaged I cannot see how the timing could move out....
