Re: UK Coals minorca site pics
Phil, Great Pictures there  I'm heading down there with a bit of luck this month in hope to get some shots, I was wondering how would I get to that crossing? Is there a street or road that I can get access to it from? I am not from the area but I am only a 40 minute drive away. Regards Hi ...

Re: NZG CAT 5130 project.

UK Coals minorca site pics
I finally had a little spare time last Saturday morning, so I jumped on my bike & had a look at UK Coals Minorca site, situated just to the edge of the village of where I live, in Measham. There's a public ftpath that cuts straight through the middle of the site, & the haul road to t...

Bummer. Though they always seem to pick a bad day, i.e, snow, mothers da...

Re: ATH in administration
Very interesting, but apart from the jobs of the machine operators & the like, I think there is a bigger problem for the UK opencast scene if small mining companies start to go bust. One of the arguments for the protest group set up in my own village of Measham towards UK Coals new Minorca site ...

Re: 105t, 950HP bulldozer at bauma China 2012
It pains me to say it but I bet that'll be better than you think! :eh: It a copy no doubt of the Komatsu, but look what the Japanese and the Koreans have done to the earthmover and crane markets! Slow to start, copy the best and buy their way in. People said Hitachi would n't be any good in...

No worries, maybe next time? It was all a bit of a rush for me on the day as I had to do a job in Warslow on route! Even missed my usual partner in crime, Mr R M Furniss.
